About me
A proposito di me
Ciao a tutti. Mi chiamo Luciana. I am an Italian Language Specialist.
I was born in Milan, in the north of Italy and Italian is my mother tongue. I moved to Sydney many years ago and I fell in love with this country. Although I endeavour to go back home every second year to see my family and friends.
I have an extensive professional experience in language teaching. I am multi-lingual. I speak fluent English, Italian, French and Spanish and a bit of German and Portuguese.
I have taught in various Australian universities, such as UNSW Sydney, UNSW Global, University of Sydney (Centre of Continuing Education) and in various private colleges in the Sydney CBD.
I am also a qualified TESOL Trainer (Teacher of English as a second Language) and I provide language services to different people and companies.
I have a Master in Translation and Interpreting, a BA in Modern Languages and Linguistics, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a CELTA, a certificate IV in Business and Administration and a Diploma in Tourism.
I am thus a very experienced teacher, and very committed and professional in my approach to education. But I am also a fun-to-learn-with teacher, passionate about generating enjoyable learning experiences for students of all levels. I love teaching Italian and always try that my students enjoy while learning my native language.
In my free time I like reading Italian books, listening to Italian music, watching Italian movies, cooking, catching up with friends, going to the theatre ... What I enjoy most is spending time with my hubby and travelling back to Italy to spend time with all my loved ones.
